Walked out of the keynote. It was transphobic and totally incoherent. Knowing the rest of the lineup I'm sure it was just a misfire, but as the opening keynote it was a pretty big one.

I raised the issue with him right after his talk, he understood the issues, and will now change the example. It was not his intention to cause offense, and he realised the mistake.

Tolerance is important obvs, but I'm less forgiving here because the talk as a whole was nonsensical.

Yeah, we are missing the context here. I probably would have walked out too in such a situation, and will probably avoid the video now.
Looking forward to seeing more highlights for the other talks at any rate! They are always a great teaser for the videos! 👍
