Almost all of them have a HUGE affluency factor, and Ivy League is straight up nepotist to boot. Tbh all you should need to know about ivy league is that one of the institutions is named after a slave trader and they haven't changed it yet.

don't get me wrong these institutions are often really good (hey, I loved my college and learned a LOT from smart people) but there's something wrong if the act of getting in is your crowning achievement at that institute

Well... you still need to succeed there. And then arguably get a decent job, grad school matriculation, or business pursuit thereafter.

oh please "dropped out of Harvard" is a badge of honor at this point and the point is that the baseline "merit" you get from just having gotten in gives a MAJOR boost in any future endeavors
