IMHO there's a right way to be passionate, and social skills matter. Read the room etc.

I'm trying to learn how to slow down and when to step back and let others discover things at their pace. It's far less intimidating than trying to tell somebody everythingyouknowaboutathingallatoncebecauseitssocool. It's so hard to do when you get excited about a thing tough. 😬
This is easy, just remind yourself of all the terrible technology in the world and how people often choose it even when there's a clear choice of some better technology right there!
