there is lots of hemlock (the bad kind) on both sides of this trail it's quite ominous

(Uninitiated, suburban Australian here... they certainly look pretty though!)

Most of the plant is super toxic if ingested (a couple leaves can kill you, and the leaves are small)
Socrates was sentenced to death by hemlock
It's safe to be around, just don't eat it.

There are plenty of poisonous plants out there this one is just known because of the Socrates thing.
