Taking a break from games where "you kill things" is one of the main activities. I don't have fantasies about killing hordes of people/monsters. I really don't need to live out other people's fantasies, either.

I've looked through steam and gog before for indies, but it's hard to find the gems. I should probably do a bit more research on sites like the one you showed me

Yeah, Steam is going downhill for indie stuff. 😞 Everyone is moving to itch - much more vibrant community for consuming a diverse range of ideas and perspectives.

I follow lots of the indie devs from a past life dabbling in games and generative art, so I guess it still must be part of my filter bubble! 😆
