What are your favourite examples of good writing in computer science papers?
(Presumably the papers are also interesting or you wouldn't care, but I want examples that I can use specifically to learn about the style of their writing more than their content)

Have you seen Simon Peyton Jones's advice on the topic? e.g. microsoft.com/en-us/research

I have (though I don't really like talks as a way of consuming information), but I'm specifically looking for examples and not how tos.

(The context is that I do not like most academic writing and am trying to find a style I can comfortably work with that won't immediately set reviewers on edge)

Oh yes, I've always found basically anything with SPJ's name on it to be highly readable. "Trees that Grow" and "Wobbly types: type inference for generalised algebraic data types" were other good ones.
