    In the news lately: young diabetics dying, cannot afford to buy their high-priced insulin. Walmart sells perfectly serviceable insulin $25/vial, no prescription. Ask the pharmacist for help in buying insulin and managing diabetic regime. please retweet

    and the admin is saying two contradictory things, that they are not negotiating with Republicans and that they are negotiating with Republicans

    but "Brian Deese, director of White House National Economic Council suggested that the administration might be willing to consider more narrowly targeting the $1,400 direct payments." so this is likely the hold-up in getting the promised relief checks mailed out☹️

    Rob Portman of Ohio called for a smaller stimulus package that would limit direct payments - not to go to Americans earning more than $50,000 a year or to families with a combined income exceeding $100,000 (they'd like to hold some money back in case the banks need bailing out)

    let's hope Schumer can hold that line a frail reed, but he's been stalwart talking like this for awhile and ya' never know when a person will step up to the plate

    The Republican letter comes as Dems are eying reconciliation to bypass the 60-vote rule on a Covid relief bill—it’s an attempt to steer Biden toward a different path. Schumer has insisted that going small isn’t an option.
