40 years the owners have been pocketing parking fees at this site beside the old welfare office.
Ross Lahive, Steve and Max accosted Thomas Gould at Kent Railway Station today in Cork City. They are nothing more than far-right thugs using bully boy tactics and name calling to harass people.
I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic…Show more
Some great reviews of my book, 'The Liar', on Goodreads: "I could feel the bleakness of Sand Island. I could feel the loneliness of Johannes in every sentence. And I was wowed at what Martin Hansen gave us in a mere 240 pages. Loved."
Not a word about the amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the Irish constitution - Bunreacht na hÉireann. Nothing. Didn’t happen apparently, and people in the South are not referenced in the debate. Woeful standard of discourse. #GFA25
Thanks to Galway Rural Development, Justin and all who participated in the recent Gardening course. Tommy Larkins were the kind beneficiaries of your recent hard work. Here are some pictures to show the great work done. Thanks to all involved.
Many academics finding out from USS (pension scheme) that their personal data has been stolen.
The response appears seriously inadequate given the scale and impact of the data breach.
Its is a disgrace. I am judged as 2.0 out of 10 on the 'trauma scale'. I survived the Loughinisland Massacre. I was shot 4 times & watched six men get murdered. I've endured 30 yrs of PTSD. Every applicant should publish their judgement to show this travesty for the insult it is.
Now when I said that: “NI was created to secure an in-built Protestant/unionist majority. When Ulster Unionist MP Basil Brooke told his constituents not to employ Catholics, NI’s PM, James Craig, commented: “I would not ask him to withdraw one word.”
This has been the central ethos that has governed ‘John Bull’s political slum’ (Northern Ireland) from the start: - “How a redefinition of consent making pro-Unity votes less equal to pro-Union ones is ‘inclusive and generous’ he didn’t say.”
I have written a book because politicians are destroying the NHS intentionally, and I think everyone deserves to know what’s going on 🚨
It is a *big deal* that one of the largest publishing houses in the world is publishing a book about NHS privatisation, and an even bigger…

"Hughes was born in Belfast and grew up in Dublin and Killarney, County Kerry. She remembers the Black and Tans – a notorious British military force in the Anglo-Irish war – and the birth of an independent Irish state in 1921."
Much talk about a comment from Brendan O'Leary at the moment, not so much that studies his work in depth; as I have. So here is my (for lots of reasons) game-changing article again: - "Defining the ‘sub-polity’ that is Northern Ireland."
Who gave The Victims’ Payment Board the right to ‘score’ the trauma I endured at, and for every day of my life since, The Miami Showband Massacre, and at which I was bombed and shot and watched my band mates slaughtered, as a 3.8 out of 10 on their ‘Trauma Scale’? How dare they?
"The State can’t have it both ways by formally denying liability in a high court collusion case and then cynically relying on that same litigation resolution to downgrade his victims (pension) payment".
The late Andy Rourke had an Irish father & an English mother, but he was "steeped in the Manchester-Irish identity that was a defining quality of The Smiths", writes Ed Power in

Our family's statement in response to Attorney General's decision is as follows:
My tweet last night got pushback from Nationalists, Unionists, and those who felt I shouldn’t have done the calculation at all. The point remains: Unionist parties were outpolled by Nationalist parties for the first time ever.

#OnThisDay 21 May 1807, William Saurin appointed Attorney General of Ireland. Belfast born (Shankill), for 15 years dominated and controlled Irish politics. Daniel O’Connell considered him a 'mortal foe’. A prominent Orangeman, he was strongly against the Act of Union
Although they refused to do so in The High Court settlement, according to documents sent to me recently by the Victims Payment Board, the British Ministry of Defence now appears to have accepted liability for The Miami Showband Massacre. More to come…..
I never wanted to be anything but a bass player or to have my name appear anywhere other than in the music columns, but evil people had plans for me that were beyond my control, and I will fight them with my last breath.
