It used to be accepted that people make decisions based on their values, and we all don't have the same values. COVID measures force us all to value "safety" from one risk above everything else. No other values can take precedence. It's a dystopia I never could have imagined

The blind willingness that almost everybody has to just go along with it is the most depressing part. I thought liberty was inherent and woven into our DNA. It’s not.

Every single bar in Louisiana has been closed since March. Many of them are permanently closed now. Are you dense and can’t look up anything? Or do you never read any news? Small businesses everywhere are closing because of this, yet government and their chronies still get paid.
