Voting is violence?
There’s a somewhat decent argument made by some anarchists that voting is essentially forcing the state on others and complying with the violence of it. I don’t necessarily agree or disagree. It’s what we have and sometimes you have to use what’s there.

I've seen that argument countered with violence is justified in self defense. Therefore voting is justified because you are trying to defend yourself, Hayek Starship Trooper, Paraphrased... Voting is force, force is violence.

I don't think voting is force. Voting is a way of indicating preference in the state run preference system. Force may be an inherent characteristic of the state, but equating voting and violence is confusing *potential* downstream effects with the original choices.
