As long as the associations are voluntary, as long as no force is involved, it's libertarian. Collectivism VS. Individualism is entirely a preference. Either can be libertarian. Either can be antithetical to libertarianism. Apples and oranges.

I would argue that voluntary interactions are always coming from a place of individualism. Now libertarianism is an anomalous ideology. Many other ideologies can fit in it, but not other way. Collectives can exist in it, voluntarily, but collectivism is a contrary view.

I would venture to say that collectivism typically involves state intervention. Not always, but usually. Prioritizing a group’s “greater good” will inevitably harm or interfere with at least one individual.
