@brahmresnik how would you describe Garcia's school choice book? Does he oppose private education options? From what I've read, it's mostly academic but may come down hard against Betsy DeVos at the end.
It's a primer for people interested in history of school choice & policies today. Wouldn't call it 'academic'; it's very accessible. Presents critiques from both sides. Don't recall him calling out DeVos.

Thanks! The MIT press description has this: “He notes that the Trump administration’s Sec of Ed DeVos is an advocate for school choice, and the admin budget shifts away from funding for low-income schools.” This would bolster his other claims that vouchers hurt public schools...
