kinda hoping the admission that ".js" is the `any` type of file extensions will become a thing people think at this point. these debates crop up constantly.

packages of "type":"wasm" not having any support for any .js files inside its package boundary seems, sane? making it anything except WASM is likely untenable to land after some chatter

Depends what you mean by "support for .js". I'd expect WASM to be able to import and re-export JS in the future as per ESM integration proposal.

the MIME .js files map to is what "type" is manipulating here. So if .js maps to a WASM format or if it has no format (and thus errors)
