@bradlarson Whereas because Swift provides other benefits, it encourages you to do that redesign. So it kind of is because of Swift. -
@mjtsai However, it’s a bit of the Sapir–Whorf hypothesis at work, in that I didn’t think of these redesigns until working in Swift.

@bradlarson Was also thinking: I bet you could write a fresh, better Obj-C version today, but there’s no compelling reason to. -
@mjtsai Could I redo this in ObjC in a cleaner fashion? Definitely. A minority of the changes were enabled by language features.
