NYC is a weird place that has an absolutely terrible work mentality. "Whew, I worked 80 hours this week." "Wow, must be nice. I did 100." Any time someone from my wife's team would leave before 7PM, people would say "half day today, huh?" What fucking nonsense.

Hoping to blog more about this soon, but one new year's resolution is: absolutely no client work after 5:30PM. So far, so good, but haven't come up against a big deadline yet or anything.

I haven't written anything about it yet because my appointment with the cardiologist is only this Friday but I'm confident that the AFIB attack that I had last month was from stress and burnout. You only realize how every day can impact you when you are forced to slow down.
