It's "astonishing" that Britain accepted structure of Brexit talks, Greece's Yanis Varoufakis says https://bloom.bg/2AGhxIy pic.twitter.com/E5Fumgm8gk

    Yanis Varoufakis on Brexit Negotiations
"When the inevitable is portrayed as a breakthrough, there is always a problem," Greece's ex-finance minister says after Britain and the EU agree on the outline of the Brexit bill.

With respect, I think you would do well to review what happened in Greece more closely.

astonishing you haven't confronted him with his twisting the facts. Art 50 TEU gives the exact order of the negotiations: exit agreement first, trade deal not before UK has left

@yanisvaroufakis offers wonderful insight into EU structures and ways of operation, but he neglects the fact that offering £50bn is also a way of making a 'no deal' #Brexit more acceptable to UK citizens if the EU demand even more. The #EU now risk alienating people if they do.

He chose to give his country pain to extort a better deal but was instead permitted to suffer all they could endure with an even harsher deal as a reward.
