    Yes & it was the wrong decision. I remain proud to have voted for the RAF to help drive ISIS out of Syria. It was the very least we could‘ve done. The British abdication of responsibility or care to the Syrian people over the last few years is an historic and humanitarian tragedy

    In 2015, Labour held a members' poll ahead of the Parliamentary vote on bombing Syria. It had a big impact. After members rejected military action, most Labour MPs did too. My Peace Pledge builds on this to ensure Labour members always get such a vote.

    100 years ago today, Jewish socialists ensured they could create meaningful change by the affiliation of JLM to the Labour Party. Despite the difficulties, I’m so proud to be part of a Movement that has always campaigned for our shared values of social justice & tolerance

    On this day in 1920: Poale Zion (the Jewish Labour Movement) affiliated to the Labour Party on 5 February 1920. Today marks the first day of our centenary year of affiliation making us one of the longest affiliated socialist societies in the Labour Party.

    ❌ So misleading. ❌ So disingenuous. All the things you list are the dangers of leaving with *no* transition period and having *no* deal. We left with a transition period. Nothing has changed yet. (Of course you knew all that but doesn’t stop you tweeting divisive nonsense)

    The Work & Pensions Secretary doesn’t have a plan to end child poverty in our region. Almost 4 million emergency supplies have been given out by the Trussell Trust in NE since 2014. Over 1 in 3 children grow up in poverty. This shouldn't happen in a country as rich as ours 11/15

    Just the other week we heard of overcrowding & bed shortages at Sunderland Royal with patients forced to sleep overnight in A&E and planned operations cancelled due to the huge strain our NHS is under 6/15
