What mentality? The BSA is a leader in youth protection. Most of the cases that caused the chapter 11 are from decades ago.

Good, bye. Absolutely no reason Boy Scouts should’ve even been a thing this century.

Millions of hours of time volunteered to the community, life long skills, family support, summer camps and free education, abundant oprotunitys, and for me a second family during difficult times. Once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout.

You know that there are cases of assault in any organization that teaches children. Scouts, the church, sports, etc. No group is immune, especially when we try to pretend it doesn’t happen.

We have been scouters for years and our boys who are Eagles have only had great experiences with dedicated volunteers. Pedophiles lurk and molest children anywhere sadly. Soccer coaches, gymnastics coaches, school teachers, churches, Y or ANY youth organization.

Also we have background checks and a lot of training and two deep leadership where no adult is ever allowed alone with a scout..must have two adults present at all times. There is a number to call to report any abuse. Just information for those who don’t know.

I challenge all of you preparing to post snide comments to try getting out and making a positive impact on the lives of our youth.

I’m pretty satisfied with not molesting boys
