"killed by a pick-up truck", " hit by the vehicle", "the truck fled the scene after hitting the students", " violently struck by a vehicle", etc... The hit-and-run driver isn't mentioned until the 12th paragraph, per standard human agency removal policy.

Regulations for the largest urban oil field in the US, the Inglewood Oil Field, expire in 9 yrs. Sounds like a phaseout period to me. Time to train their 80 full-time employees for a . Time to transform to the Central Park of the West.

Turns out Kevin deLeon is an anti-BRT NIMBY. If/when he talks about “climate action,” you’ll know he’s a phony.

We all know federal funding for buses is bad, but how bad is it, exactly? Here's one way to put it: if you spent every penny of this year's fed bus grants on shelters, it'd only buy 89 of them for every *state.*

Attention Twitter — this is the political problem with transportation decisions in cities in a nutshell. Experts who actually know what they’re talking about call for REDUCING car lanes (see ), and pro-car elected mayor dismisses that good advice.

In my mind, no city can dare consider itself world class or equitable if you can't live there car free. Where you can get to is what you can achieve, the freedom you have and the opportunities that are available to you.

A teacher, a bicyclist, and a Marin County planning commissioner are sitting around a table with 10 cookies. The planning commissioner takes 9 cookies and puts them in his pocket. “Watch our for that cyclist,” he then whispers to the teacher. “He’s trying to take your cookie.”

I don't want to seem unsympathetic because this sucks. But people will be like: Bike lanes are wasted space! And there are four empty seats in this guy's car. And that's a bigger problem re: congestion, folks!
