Cops could shoot someone who was recording them, then use FaceID to unlock that person's phone and delete the video of them shooting.

Who does FaceID help? I see how it helps law enforcement/govt builod up a facial recognition database, but what about actual iPhone users?

FaceID data are in the Secure Enclave and can’t be extracted. Apple claims FaceID is 20x better than TouchID at avoiding false positives.
