Side note: The Shia militiamen came from Muqtada al-Sadr's Saraya al-Salam. Saraya al-Salam has a heavy presence in some parts near Kirkuk and particularly to the southwest in Salah al-Din's Samarra. twitter.com/borzou/status/

Lot of US-style weapons in those screengrabs as opposed to AKs. Was not expecting that.

The abduction and killing pictures need deep investigation. I doubt itβs ISIS because they claimed it.
