Alone in the Dark looks nice, but imo doesn't play quite the same.

I still love the look of the canned Resident Evil on GBC

And HDD I guess, but even that is unlikely. Playing with some more IRQ settings, worse that can happen is I have to format again.

That leaves DVD drives, floppy drives, and power supply as the only other candidates for issues, and I think I swapped the first two (or unplugged them). Old PS in there, might be worth it for peace of mind to swap it.

Mind you, this is with another motherboard, thinking the other one might be causing issues. I could still swap back to the Soundblaster, if the Vortex 2 is causing issues, but that didn't help with the other motherboard.

Even though FF7 will at least boot, I can't actually get Gangland to show these textures, which 100% worked before, I have video of it!

Weird, swapped in the Geforce 3 I have and it still failed 8-bit palletized textures. Could probably do a better job of wiping the 3dfx drivers, but I feel like something else is weird. I wonder if bad power could cause that specific issue.

Anyone else have their Stream Deck start timing out after a recent update? Been happening for a week or so. Buttons all still showing, they just dont do anything until I reopen the PC program.

Thanks so much and for including me in your collection of Women in Games! I am really honored. And thanks for reviving the coolest thing I've had the opportunity to work on and bringing it out of that dusty box in your garage. 🤘

Denise Chaudhari was the first woman hired for the then-secret Xbox project, where she designed more than just the original "Duke" controller that launched with the system in 2001. Learn more in Andrew Borman's latest blog.

An unsung hero of the original Xbox? Denise Chaudhari, who designed the final look of the legendary 'Duke' controller (& more). Great video about her work here:

Keen observers will note that the Black and White buttons on the Duke moved by the time the final controller was released.

As a huge Xbox fan, it was incredibly exciting to get to hold the original drawings for something that has meant so much to me over the years. I think the fact that Denise worked on more than just the controller was just as important to share as the Duke story.
