It’s now obvious that no one voting in the 2016 referendum could possibly have grasped the full implications of Brexit. British people deserve another say, for the following reasons... https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/BqJ3P0sMHQ

Under any plausible scenario Brexit will make the U.K. poorer:
Trade growth will slow
Foreign investment will fall
The pound will weaken https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/k8RGQ1aLTc
Britain will lose influence in the world, likely left adhering to many of the EU’s rules while having a say over them https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/Z7YAPq4yhY
Brexit threatens the integrity of the U.K. itself, with Northern Ireland and Scotland voting to remain https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/lMrquGgwF1
If the U.K. exits without a deal, we would see dire consequences:
Trucks backed up on highways
Grounded planes
Food and medicine shortages https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/jiynUi1AQv
If another Brexit referendum was held tomorrow, a Eurobarometer survey showed that 53% of Britons would vote remain and only 35% would still want to leave. Public support for the vote itself is also substantial https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/viVebNRacs
Second thoughts are permitted in democracies. That a slim majority should set such a profound historical change in motion defies common sense. Give the people a second chance https://bloom.bg/2EDuK7u pic.twitter.com/rsYGyJoqSX
The people voted, why the hell is #Brexit still discussed two years later?
Do you want to keep holding elections until you get the result you want? How is that democracy?
Its literally what democracy is: people debating, thinking, changing their minds, voting - and then repeating that process. Also: it’s 2 years later and no plan. That’s not democracy, that’s just bad management
No, democracy is just voting and then following through on what the people voted on, not “debating, thinking, changing minds”... and it definitely is NOT disregarding the people’s vote and repeating the vote until you get the desired result.
What did they vote on? Because there was no plan and is, no plan. A solid document. A solid, unified manifesto. Anything?
They voted to withdraw from the EU. It’s quite simple, really. You don’t need a plan, a document or a manifesto. You need one sentence. GB was around for many decades and England was around for a thousand years before joining the EEC. They will be fine without the EU.
Of course, you’re not motivated by making a killing out the massive share volatility that Brexit will bring.
You’re just here offering friendly advice out of the goodness of your own heart. Right?

I only invest in US companies, as my profile shows, and #Brexit implementation will likely (temporarily) bring worldwide markets down, so it actually goes against my interest. I just really believe in democracy and think UK would be better off without the problems of the EU.
It’s just the start of countries leaving the EU, England will be fine
A second vote just means Democracy failed.
How does more democracy mean ‘democracy failed’, Joanna?
