Who gets to decide what is & what isn't the norm? I find it extremely concerning that a journalist can be just killed for being critical of the rulers, but perhaps that's the "norm" for them. How do we respect a sovereign Gov and simultaneously impose our culture on them?

However, gruesome it may be, there is something like sovereign authority, national culture and faith traditions to be respected. 1.he is a Saudi citizen, not an asylum seeker or refugee in the US. 2.he is moslem under Shariah law. 3.he choose deliberately to oppose his monarch.
