    It’s flabbergasting to me how “being a nasty hateful bigot towards trans people online” has become an entire personality for some people. What is wrong with you? Just let them live their lives and leave them alone.

    this far into a global pandemic I had hoped we would have permanently reformed sick pay and sick leave policies, but alas 💁🏼‍♀️

    We need to stop rewarding perfect attendance. It’s not a failure to take a sick day. I hope that if anything good comes out of this pandemic, it’s making it okay to say, “I’m taking this sick day now so I’ll get better faster and also not expose my coworkers to whatever I have.”

    I find it odd that the people shouting in the press about children’s mental health are the same ones calling for an extended school day and less holidays. It’s almost as if their motivation wasn’t the well-being of children at all,

    It will be hard for some to read this thread but it had to be said. This is more to do with the publishing industry than well-intentioned writers and illustrators but it’s worth thinking about...

    I know white writers write poc main characters because they want poc readers to see themselves in books, but here’s what happens when you do that: publishers end up acquiring books written by white people instead of books by pocs because they find the former easier to relate to.
