It’s flabbergasting to me how “being a nasty hateful bigot towards trans people online” has become an entire personality for some people. What is wrong with you? Just let them live their lives and leave them alone.

If you know a child, tell a child about this! If you don't know a child, the good news is that this is a lot of fun for grown ups too. I developed a colossal soft spot for Leo while writing this - a constantly distracted freelancer is very relatable.

Here’s what children need to “catch up”. They need: - More libraries - More swimming pools - More school playing fields - More Sure Start centres - More space at home to work You know, all the thing Tories have been voting to take away from them these past 11 years.

Well, this is interesting. It seems transphobic purveyor of hate Suzanne Moore, who previously engaged in much wailing about how thoroughly cancelled she was, is still spewing her bigoted garbage in the national press, almost like she wasn’t cancelled at all. Huh.

I find it odd that the people shouting in the press about children’s mental health are the same ones calling for an extended school day and less holidays. It’s almost as if their motivation wasn’t the well-being of children at all,

It will be hard for some to read this thread but it had to be said. This is more to do with the publishing industry than well-intentioned writers and illustrators but it’s worth thinking about...

If you're buying a Valentine's gift your local bookseller will steer you right - just ask them! Take it from me that literally nobody's in the mood for scratchy underwear right now.
