It's very hard to dig in to those issues in an aggregate level. @susieneilson did a good job with a hard subject to report on (stats) by keeping it simple, before each case gets much more nuanced and greyer.

Haven't looked at this yet, but sending in case it helps you find what you're looking for.https://twitter.com/susieneilson/status/1456674383481556996?t=-ysSxtzaW_Z9FgsFYumlwA&s=19 …

Is missing what necessary for accountability. It says the DA 'took action' but not what the action was. Was it pre-trial diversion? Dealer sent to drug court? Assault with a gun plead down to disturbing the peace? Was the person sent to jail? Other counties report it. Not SF

And all those actions you're taking about and are made collaboratively with the defense and court. Why pin aggregate numbers like that solely on the DA?

The DA has the information and won't release it. The courts have the information and won't release it. These bodies are accountable to the public, and the data is a owned by the public.

The information is gray and nuanced, and releasing it will cause people to take it completely out of context. There's no point in releasing that information so people can pin it on the wrong parties.

There's nothing nuanced about answering the same public records requests to favorable columnists, and rejecting them to those who are not. In fact its illegal.https://loub.substack.com/p/boudin-broke-sf-sunshine-laws?justPublished=true …

No there's not. That's what you get when politics is intertwined with the criminal legal system. I believe all DA's and Sheriffs should be appointed, not elected, to remove these politics out of the system

Sure. When the world it re-imagined to your liking, it will be so. As it is, the question before us is: where's the outcome data from the SF DA's office. Why is the DA selectively complying public records requests.

If that's a reason to criticize @chesaboudin, I'll support that criticism. Everything else is concocted horse manure.
