I just can't recommend it enough. There's nothing else like it. If you're gonna get into it, know that it unfolds steadily over time in constantly surprising ways. You might feel lost when you first get going but keep at it and you will be generously rewarded.
I just want to like gush about everything beautiful and clever and frightening and brilliant about this game. I would be very surprised if any other game this year came close to being this good. Or next year. Fucking hell.
Anyway congrats to @Mobius_Games. You folks made a beautiful work and deserve every bit of praise coming your way.

Outer Wilds doesn't have like any wasted space. Which is amazing considering it takes place in an entire solar system. Every location has something that makes it feel rich, and heavy, and full. Even getting there in your little cabin-ass spaceship.
The solar system feels both massive and also like you're just hiking from camp to camp out in the wilderness. I don't remember a game that ever nailed this or even tried for it. I guess you could say some of the Oddworld games but the similarities end pretty fast.
I want to talk about the Ash and Ember twins, about Giant's Deep, about Brittle Hollow and White Hole Station, and on and on and how all of these things work in unique and surprising ways. And the writing is good and warm and charming! Which is so rare.
Alright I'm done. It's on the Epic store and I think Xbox One. This is a recommendation to go play this thing.
It's literally already my GOTY, can't see a contender at the moment. The sense of discovery is so intense.
