    We couldn’t agree more with this . We lobbied successfully for to allow opposing parties to have a fair spread of Councillors on scrutiny.

    Our letter in response to 's piece is in the Times today - the danger of an electoral system that hands local councils over wholesale to one party is clear to see, as is the solution in effect in Scotland today, with STV for local councils

    NEW: A majority of council leaders have voted to go ahead with a plan to take control of Greater Manchester's bus network back from private operators. Mayor Andy Burnham will now make the final decision on introducing a London-style franchise system.

    While we may disagree politically with Chris we find this behaviour outrageous & unnecessary. We condemn it unconditionally. The people of Bolton West democratically elected Chris to be their MP. If you are unhappy with his work then make your voice heard at the ballot box

    I know that some people are feeling the pressure under lockdown, but this sort of behaviour is not acceptable for any reason or at any time.
