i know, i know, violent misogyny is all around us and it's the easiest way out and all that good analysis but at the end of the day this labyrinthine fantasy world they've created takes so much more effort to maintain than actually deciding to be ok with yourself & moving on

guess what? all the time i spent telling myself i was unlovable and just not the kind of girl that guys like and that guys will only go out with x type of girl and not me resulted in a whole lot of nothing for me too.

but i didn't decide that men should be forced to date women like me nor did i get a gun and go out for revenge. I got over it (eventually) & started trying to figure out how to be a person & going after different interests & meeting people & lo and behold things changed.

but you get a whole group of people gassing each other up by weirdly putting each other down and building this myth together, the chances are they're not going to get over it and they will start doing more and more extreme things reflecting their distorted "reality"
