    Yes, but it is also caused by the willingness to accept the infliction of mass death by the US upon people in other countries around the world: Japan, North Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Central and South America.

    Can't help but feel that the general attitude toward mass death in this country was buttressed by decades of painting illness as a individual moral failure brought on by unhealthy lifestyles and not a structural issue experienced communally.

    COVID hospitalizations have so burdened the region that hospitals in La. cannot be evacuated as a catastrophic hurricane bears down. This is what irresponsible COVID behavior and policies in multiple southern states has created.

    My kids doctor has told me to keep my kids home, due to their asthma. As someone who caught covid before we were told to wear mask last year and also have asthma, I'm still struggling to breathe even with the aid of 3 different inhaler. My kids will be kept safe
