Lets start having the conversation around allocating direct funds to families when we talk about “per pupil funding” approx. 25k per pupil in NYC schools. Let’s take a portion of that & support the families & communities as we know the current 25k is not going to the “pupil” #UBI
If "allocating direct funds" means vouchers or anything similar, we should NOT do this. Voucher programs, supported by Republicans like Ed. Sec. Betsy DeVos, have been repeatedly shown to primarily benefit wealthier families. We need help for LMI not the rich.
