ConEd will be investing $1billion/year in gas assets that will become stranded assets long before their costs are recovered. Future New Yorkers will spend decades paying for assets they aren't able to use.
And a far smaller pool of economically vulnerable New Yorkers without the funds to retrofit will be the ones left to foot the bill. We owe you thanks for your work in the rate case to highlight this issue.
