That’s great! There are rumors that NYC is about to have a natural gas moratorium on ALL buildings!!!
In NYC, ConEd and KEDNY need to begin a process of managed de-capitalization of their gas assets while re-capitalizing as thermal utilities providing district heating/cooling. They would still make money on pipes-in-the-ground, but would sell BTUs -- not gas.
