Hydrogen power is a stupid idea. Why in the world would we pay for all the infrastructure needed to build a hydrogen economy when we already have an electric grid? Also, making hydrogen is a very inefficient use of electricity.https://www.ibtimes.com/tesla-ev-cars-other-brands-bow-down-hydrogen-cars-2030-2804811 …

The opposite: scaling recharging for EVs is more expensive (see Julich report; Watch China). OEMs know cheapest 'electric' platform is integration of small battery + fuel cell b/c less supply chain risk/mass; cost curve benefits from wider applications across transportation world

Efficiency loss obsession is misguided (Our grid is inefficient; solar is inefficient; ICE is inefficient) Scale & integration matters. Hydrogen (via power to gas) gives you system level efficiencies of sector coupling. Producing H2 (Ptg) will get cheaper and deliver more value

Not to mention that H2 fuel tanks typically run at close to 700 Bar: 10,000 psi! A tank pressurized to 250 Bar can kill if they fail catastrophically. These pressures are deadly & insane.

Besides which, in 2030 it won't be Li-ion that H2 would have to beat, it'll be a much better alternative battery chemistry.
