Did that analysis include the costs of adding new gas pipeline capacity? The one I'm familiar with is from 2015 (I think) and I don't remember the assumptions about new pipelines.

Costs of gas expansion were NOT considered in the NYSERDA report on heat pumps. Had they been, the results would have been very different -- particularly because of the risk of stranded gas assets as we move toward 80x50 emissions reductions goal.
