Actually, we have for-profit “death panels” now: they are companies + boards saying you’re on your own bc they won’t cover a critical procedure or medicine. You don't need socialism to have universal, useful health insurance. There is nothing in the idea of "capitalism" that prevents the introduction of social and collective programs. Those who say that programs enhancing societal welfare must be "socialist" are simply ignorant.
