The @GOP strategy has always been to deny anthropogenic #climatechange; but to now push #resiliency spending is an interesting, indirect way to appease unscientific swing voters who subliminally focus on effects rather than causes of hurricanes. Dastardly

They respond to what they can see, not to what is projected. Similarly, it is much easier to get Republicans to act on pollution than on greenhouse gas emissions. Pollution kills today, GHG is an issue for tomorrow.

in state seawall spending, but also pulled $400MM away from water treatment 
, contributing to algal blooms, hypoxification, etc. People who need a seawall also want to swim, right?
