Why do most Democrats still talk about climate change like it's 2008? Pro tip: connect this people's everyday lives, show the intersections, identify the cause in fossil fuels, and tell compelling stories about clean energy jobs & opportunities. We can do better!
Remember also that the monetized impacts of non-carbon emissions are greater than those of carbon emissions. Also, those pollution impacts are more local. The "Social Cost of Pollution" is higher than the "Social Cost of Carbon."!! But, addressing either problem addresses both.

All good points and I agree…I also can’t help but feel, though, that it’s increasingly ridiculous and unacceptable that Republicans can’t talk about “climate change.” It’s like calling cancer “body pollution.” It’s wild to see an entire party allergic to basic science.

It doesn't matter if Republicans accept anthropogenic Climate Change as long as they support policies that will reduce the rate of change! So, if they are willing to act on pollution, liberty, jobs, etc. why not humor them and be done with it?
