1. I am pleased to be able to share two reports that represent the culmination of a year’s worth of work examining the Implications of Policy-Driven Residential Electrification & Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Pathways with natural gas technologies. https://www.aga.org/research/reports/implications-of-policy-driven-residential-electrification/ …
Your report ignores Geothermal Heat Pumps. Thus, your conclusions are junk. #BeneficialElectrification

Yes, ground-source heat pump efficiency declines at a much slower pace than air-source. But they are also much more expensive. We address this in the study.

Gas is only "cheaper" if you ignore the true cost. I regularly see gas expansion programs whose cost is over $30,000 per house in hidden rate base cost. But, Dandelion will install GHP for about $20,000 before 30% Federal tax credit. GHP is often much cheaper than gas.

Wow Bob-elbows swinging!

Kevin, I see this kind of argument every day. Gas folk always ignore Geothermal HP since they know they can't beat it. They focus on Air-Source since it is an easy target. Heck, gas is cleaner than burning coal or dung. But, that doesn't mean it is better than GHP.
