Game development is often chaotic. But sometimes, losing myself in game development is the only respite from the chaos of life.

Just a friendly reminder to go outside and talk to some happy little trees and get some Vitamin D from our lovely friend the Sun.

The key to happy game development is to learn to enjoy the process.

Sorry, but even I don't have any advice on how to make UI design fun.

Slow and steady wins the race. Just remember to use delta time instead of frame rate.

Refactoring code is a lot like cleaning your room: easiest if you do it on a regular basis.

The last phase of development on a game is often the hardest. Just remember that you're closer to the finish line than ever before.

A marathon is completed one step at a time.

Leave messages of encouragement in the code comments for your future self to stumble across.

The most important validation of your work comes from yourself.

Follow your dreams, but don't lose sight of reality.

If you look at your old work and it looks terrible to you, that's a good thing. That means you are improving.

Some days, it's hard to find motivation to work on your game. On those days, just make it your goal to get to your desk. Start from there.

During the last stage of a project, it's less about motivation and more about discipline. Keep a schedule and don't lose momentum.

Everyday you make the choice to not give up.

I am aware that I'm just a parody account on twitter, but truly, it has been a joy to share with you the ups and downs of game development.

If there's another game dev who has helped you out this year, now is an excellent time to tell them how much you appreciate what they did.
