    In a twelve-month span, April '20 to April '21, there were +100,000 deaths related to drug overdoses. The rise in those overdoses was led by fentanyl & fentanyl related substances (FRS). These substances are more addicting & fatal than heroin, & 100x stronger than morphine.

    My favorite memories with Don involve hunting. He was skilled and had a quick wit. He was the founder of the Congressional Sportsman Caucus, and I had the honor of co-chairing the caucus years back.

    This Administration has made it clear from the very beginning that their priority was NOT North American energy production. Rising gas prices are not just because of the situation between Russia and Ukraine. It has been ongoing since the beginning of Biden's Admin.

    Permanently labeling fentanyl as a Schedule I substance would help get this dangerously powerful substance off the streets. The House needs to consider & pass the HALT Fentanyl Act. This crisis NEEDS to be addressed.

    Yesterday, the released new data on overdose deaths related to fentanyl & other synthetic opioids. In a 12-month period ending in October '21, there were 105,752 deaths. We must do more to curb the influx of these harmful drugs.

    It has been reported that the woman in this photo along with her baby did not survive. We need to continue to stand united as a nation in solidarity with Ukraine as they fight against Putin’s horrific attacks.

    Last week, it was estimated that Americans would spend an extra $1300 on gas by the end of the year - it has already jumped an additional $700! American households should NOT have to pay an extra $2000 a year on gas. We must refocus on North American energy NOW!!

    That comes on top of about $1,000 in extra costs at the grocery store due to inflation, which means the typical household will have $3,000 less this year to spend on other items, according to Yardeni Research.
