    Families shouldn’t have to live in constant fear of being torn apart as they go about their daily lives. Pres. ’s threats and recent changes in federal immigration practices have caused needless fear and uncertainty in our communities. Enough is enough.

    That's why I led a coalition of states in challenging the policy of forced family separation. We must acknowledge the lasting trauma and harm done to the families that were torn apart - and those who are still separated from their loved ones because of a negligent administration.

    This is simply unacceptable. President is not doing enough to reunify the families torn apart. This was a rogue, cruel, and unconstitutional policy from the start. What we do now to fix this will speak volumes about who we are as a nation.
