for doing an amazing job preserving compatibility... the python-heavy ZRWP involved changes to only four lines of code to get over to 8 from 7.5 (changes to filter() and __hash__ in Python 3)
I feel like I need to go back through and rebuild all my old games (Whale's Waldo, Xenopathy, Charles 2.0, EBAE, AFS, YAGS, YAGS: Booty Call, ZAGS, etc) in Renpy 8.0.3, even if just for new Android compatibility
Maybe after I get ZRWP out the door... 🙄
Today's accomplishment: Changing how the "Skip Turn" functionality works in #ZRWP
Previously it would completely skip the character's turn and drain their ATB meter... now it allows combat to continue with them ready, until you need them! #RenPy#GameDev
I'm having too much fun working on #ZRWP, between writing characters that are wholly acting out of character, and making interesting RPG skills and combats
Even if this game is a relative failure, it's still probably the favorite thing I've ever worked on

One thing I'm hoping to allow with #ZRWP is the direct transfer of demo saves into the full version of the game
It's working at the moment, but no promises, in case I end up having to make breaking changes as the full version continues development #RenPy#GameDev
