i've avoided making statements about this because it's legitimately embarrassing for me to be in a position to have to say this, but i'm absolutely not homophobic/transphobic. i believe in equal rights for everyone and will always fight against people who discourage people 1/3
from being themselves. i've never hated someone for their sexuality or beliefs, it's a ridiculous thing to do, i'm quite literally just immature & often insensitive, especially when it comes to things i feel i can get a laugh out of. as i've gotten older i realize how my 2/3
insensitivity can genuinely hurt people, & how that edgy sense of humor is more harmful than funny. i take full responsibility for anything i've ever said, but to say i "hate" gay/trans people is wildly inaccurate. i know this isn't perfect, tried my best. dms always open, -bbb

I used to think the same thing, but the problem is that people don't know you or your intentions. So if you call something bad "gay" and everyone in your circle accepts it, people outside your circle are RIGHTLY going to question whether y'all are homophobic/anti-gay
Now this is a good apology. No “Sorry you took it that way” statements or “People are overreacting” just a simple acknowledgement of what was wrong.
