one established player’s moment of weakness can be an up & coming player’s moment of solidification & validation. hours & hours & hours into “fuck this game” vs hours & hours & hours into “finally, i did it”. 1 neutral win can end up being the difference. crazy game lol

Disagree to some extent. Whether your boi wins or loses that 1 neutral interaction doesn't validate/invalidate the hours he put in. Fact is he's there and there's room to improve, different goals ig. Don't think your level as a competitor changes a lot with that but ik rank does.
