Because even the craziest shit is pretty standard in some way nowadays for Melee while in smash 4 there’s always some new combos and stuff. Also the age difference might be a factor since Melee players are generally older
smash 4 players always sound like they're having a blast playing when i hear them screaming from across the venue. whenever i play melee it's just constant judgement and bitterness and occasional reflection over where all the years have gone

sm4sh players are so loud it's annoying, screaming very loudly for no reason. i need to take ibuprofen before tournaments melee players are quieter unless something actually happens speaking in a very general sense, of course i think it's just because melee players are older
