    Startups should focus on payback period over CAC:LTV ratio. Payback is a better measure of efficiency that is also more grounded in fact (versus LTV which is fiction for most early startups).

    74% of startup founders think their leadership team is 'above average' or 'far above average,' and only 6% believe their leadership team is below average. Of course, that’s not possible. Reminds me of how most people think they are above average drivers.

    Pay the extra $20k+ to hire the candidate who will be 2x+ better than the next person. As a founder I made the mistake of being overly frugal and trying to beat the market in hiring. Moving fast and getting the best people is generally the better path.
