I think a lot of white people have clocked that black ppl desire to be understood above all else & use this by acting ultra naive or neutral in order to let black ppl play the role of an educator when in reality they understand racism and are in full support of the status quo.

I remember when I first watched this. A panel of middle class white women telling a black woman racism doesn't existence is at best seriously uncomfortable to watch.

What makes this so insidious is that its a time wasting strategy when employed in a media setting, effectively insuring that any conversations about race/white supremacy never leave the surface level.

One thing I don't understand is how/why all the people with one black and one white parent are treated as black?? Forcefully "othering" one of your own bcoz they look a little different. That, I think, is quite perverse.
