Rumor on the street is if you make a YouTube video talking about another YouTuber you get demonetized!

Hi Keem - Confirming this isn't true. There may be other reasons why these videos get flagged. Our Ad-friendly Guidelines state that incendiary & demeaning content isn't allowed. So if videos appear like it's ridiculing another creator, it might get picked up as not safe for ads.

It’s nice to know that to youtubers, your slogan “broadcast yourself” has become “Broadcast yourself exactly how we tell you on our authoritarian platform, where honest criticism or opposing opinions are punishable by making sure you can’t pay rent.”

Let’s see. Several hours of scripting, filming, editing, fixing up, finding the right tags, creating thumbnails and uploading these videos all for your entertainment, for you at no cost. Sometimes multiple times a week. Almost like work...Or A JOB.

YouTube is still promising to be an open and fair monetized platform. They sought out creators and creators went there because of the promises to be that. The problem is they are lying about what they are and now creators have reliance on that platform.

Now YouTube is constantly changing the policy behind closed doors and so creators are paying YouTube for promotion of videos that they don’t know are going to be demonetized. And then they are not explaining what that standard or the rules truly are.

Other times they are caught actually suppressing videos that they have been paid to promote.
