This person would be fired if they worked for a pizza place. Like the burden is 100% on the driver. I've had to park in weird places to deliver food. Unless the customer chooses to meet me in the lobby I always assume I'm to meet them at their front door. That's how i was trained

Pizza delivery drivers are employees and as such are guaranteed minimum wage, while doordash/Postmates/etc are contractors who earn a nominal fee per delivery. If customer service is important you're better off ordering directly from a restaurant rather than an app

Unfortunately working for a pizza place and working for DoorDash, JustEat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats are a different story. We’re paid per order whereas working for a pizza place, you’ll probably get paid hourly like normal jobs. Time is money in the self employed world.
